Biographical Information
Elena Uzun was born and raised in Moldova and later relocated to the United States. She began her academic journey at Pitt Community College, earning an Associate in Applied Science with honors in 2014, followed by an Associate in Arts in 2019. She then completed her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration at East Carolina University in 2022 and earned her Master of Business Administration from ECU in 2025.
Elena joined the East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine in 2018 as a Patient Care Representative. In 2022, she transitioned into her current role as the AEGD Program Coordinator, where she plays a pivotal role in coordinating the Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency program.
Professional Philosophy
Elena supports residents with a balance of intellect and empathy, earning their trust as someone they can approach with any question or challenge. She ensures solutions are found and resources connected, fostering growth, accountability, and professional excellence in collaboration with program leadership.
