For Patients

If you are a current patient of the dental school, your faculty, resident, or student provider will help you schedule an appointment for imaging. If you are not a current patient of the school, your dentist or provider must download and complete the Referral for Oral and Maxillofacial Diagnostic Services (PDF) and fax it to our location where the image will be taken. Locations and fax numbers are listed above. You will receive a phone call from the ECU School of Dental Medicine to schedule your imaging appointment.

All patients should register at the reception desk at the appointed location. Your images may be taken by a radiology technician or a dental student, depending on the type of image required. The appointments may be longer than those in private offices due to the teaching environment so please plan accordingly. You will be asked to remain in the office until the quality of the images are confirmed. All of the radiographs will be interpreted with the supervision of trained faculty and advanced images will have a written report by a maxillofacial radiologist that will be sent to the referring provider.
