All ECU School of Dental Medicine practice locations participate in the NC Medicaid program, and we will submit claims on your behalf to all major insurance companies. Some carriers will allow you to assign benefits to the School of Dental Medicine (the carrier pays us directly), and some carriers require you to pay us out-of-pocket and then be reimbursed by the insurance company.

The ECU School of Dental Medicine will accept most insurance plans; however, we may not participate with all plans and should therefore be considered out-of-network providers. Please check your policy to ensure you receive out-of-network benefits. Remember, the contract for benefits is between your employer and the insurance company and patients should always contact their insurance to confirm benefit and eligibility information.

At the ECU School of Dental Medicine, we want to make sure that our patients have an excellent customer service experience. To assist us in providing you comprehensive services, please be prepared to present a current insurance identification card at the time of your visit. Your card will provide us critical information that is needed to file your claim. Always remember to let us know when there has been a change to your name, address, or insurance information.
