Patients Requiring Emergency Dental Treatment
The school provides emergency care for patients experiencing dental problems such as pain, swelling, injury or fractured / lost dental restorations. The Emergency Care Clinic is in Ledyard E. Ross Hall, 1852 MacGregor Downs Road in Greenville, NC and operates from 8:00 AM till 5:00 PM Mondays and Tuesdays, and from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursdays and Fridays. Emergency Dental Treatment after 5:00 PM, Weekends and Holidays
Treatment of dental emergencies after 5:00 pm on weekdays or during weekends and holidays is limited to the School of Dental Medicine’s patients of record. If you or your child are patients at the School of Dental Medicine, please call (252) 737-7834. The appropriate resident on call will respond to your message.
If you are not a patient of record and are seeking emergency care after hours, weekends or during holidays, please call Minor Emergency ECU Health or the ECU Health Medical Center Emergency Department. The addresses and phone numbers are listed below.

Becoming a Patient of Record
A visit to the School of Dental Medicine Emergency Care Clinic does not enroll you as a patient of record at the school. If you would like to become a patient at the School of Dental Medicine, please call 252-737-7834 between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. and ask for a free screening appointment.

- Valid Photo ID
- Dental Insurance Card
- A list of your current medications/dosages and allergies
- Name, phone number, and fax number of your regular medical doctor
- Results of any recent blood work
