Clinical Guidance for Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The ECU School of Dental Medicine is closely monitoring the Coronavirus pandemic and the resultant impact on our clinical operations. At this time, we have adequate staffing, supplies and equipment to keep our patients, visitors, students and staff safe per the CDC and American Dental Association (ADA) guidelines.
We care about your health and safety and have enhanced our screening protocols. We are phone screening patients before arrival, and screening all who enter our facilities with in person health questions and temperature checks. Also, in accordance with national recommendations for the prevention of the spread of COVID-19, everyone entering an ECU School of Dental Medicine facility is asked to bring and wear a face mask or covering, regardless of symptoms. We are limiting visitors to our facilities as well. For patient visits, only one accompanying adult is allowed for children and minors, please do not bring other siblings. Special needs adults may also have one accompanying adult. All other patients must not be accompanied. Exceptions may be requested in certain circumstances. We are also encouraging social distancing and have added additional hand sanitizer stations throughout our facilities.
The COVID-19 Symptoms screening questions are listed below. If you currently experiencing, or have experienced these symptoms in the last 14 days, we will not be able to see you into our clinics. A teledentistry consultation may be an option for you. Please contact our call center at 252-737-7000 to learn more about our teledentistry consultation service.
