Biographical Information
Born and raised in Texas, Dr. Linc Conn is a dental graduate of the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he also completed a post-graduate program in general dentistry (AEGD). He received a master’s in public health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at the Houston School of Public Health, San Antonio.
Dr. Conn joined ECU from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School, where he served as an associate professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry. During his 21 years at San Antonio, he taught in both post-doctoral and pre-doctoral clinical education and participated actively in the Dental School Research and Development Program (Faculty Practice). His research interests varied over the years from materials testing to clinical materials research and health services research. Through collaborative research grants, Dr. Conn has been associated with over 6 million dollars in funding from research grants and service contracts.
Dr. Conn and his wife, Dana, have two children. His interests include golf, classic cars, home repair/remodeling, fishing, and the shooting sports. He joined the ECU School of Dental Medicine as associate professor and chair of the Department of General Dentistry, where he focuses on educating dentists to care for citizens in underserved parts of our state.
