Dr. Abdelaal’s clinical interests include oral rehabilitation of complex cases with fixed, removable, and implant-supported prostheses and digital Dentistry.

Biographical Information
Dr. Maged Abdelaal earned a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from Cairo University School of Dental Medicine, Egypt, in 2004. He completed a residency program in removable prosthodontics at Cairo University in 2009 and a master’s degree in 2011. He was a faculty member in the removable prosthodontics department at Cairo University from 2009-2012. He was also in private practice part-time in Cairo for 8 years before coming to the U.S. in 2012 and completing a certificate in prosthodontics and a second master’s degree at the University of Iowa in 2015. From 2015 until joining ECU, he was a clinical assistant professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Abdelaal is currently the Division Director of Prosthodontics.
Teaching Activities
Dr. Abdelaal’s teaching activities include the areas of treatment planning in fixed prosthodontics, removable prosthodontics, dental implants and digital dentistry.
