School hosts Regional Consortium of Operative Dentistry Educators Meeting
The ECU School of Dental Medicine hosted the 2019 Annual Southeastern Regional Meeting of the Consortium of Operative Dentistry Educators (CODE) and Caries Management by Risk Assessment Coalition (CAMBRA) at ECU on October 16-18, 2019.
The Consortium strives to advance and improve the teaching of operative dentistry by promoting communication and cooperation between restorative dentistry educators from the United States and Canada through regional and national CODE meetings.
The meeting was coordinated by Dr. Roopwant Kaur, clinical assistant professor of operative dentistry at ECU and Region VI director of CODE and Southern CAMBRA Coalition Southeast.
Twenty-six educators representing East Carolina University, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, Meharry Medical College, The Medical University of South Carolina, University of Kentucky, University of Louisville, NOVA Southeastern, University of Florida, Virginia Commonwealth University and Dental College of Georgia attended the meeting.
Discussion topics at the meeting were based on topics developed by the National CODE, Regional CODE and Regional CAMBRA, with presenters as follows:

Dr. Kevin Frazier, vice dean of the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, was honored for 26 years of service to CODE.
