Biographical Information
Dr. Sabrina M. Porcher-Fennell is the Assistant Director of CSLC Lillington. She grew up in a small rural town in South Carolina. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Claflin University receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, minor in Chemistry followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, she went on to complete a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Affairs Administration in Memphis, TN. Following residency, Dr. Porcher-Fennell returned to Nashville TN and served as Assistant Professor in both the Pediatric and Restorative Dentistry Departments at Meharry Medical College. She has practiced clinically in community health as well as owner and operator of a dental practice.
Driven to impact future dental clinicians, her passion for educating others in the field of dentistry has become a very significant part of her daily practice. She completed her Master of Public Health degree from the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, Gillings School of Global Public Health. Compelled to encourage and inspire, she published an e-book entitled, Destined for Dental School, a guide to helping college and dental students achieve their goals. She is a member of several national and local professional organizations. In her spare time she enjoys cooking and is an avid reader of fantasy novels.
