Biographical Information

Dr. Michael Milano is a Clinical Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry and serves as the Director of the Residency Program in Pediatric Dentistry. He earned his DMD from the University of Connecticut School of Dentistry and completed his postdoctoral training at Eastman Dental Center where he earned a Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry. Before joining the SoDM, he served as Program Director at the Dental College of Georgia, Program Director at UNC Chapel Hill, and Program Director and Chair at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and is a member of multiple professional organizations. He currently serves on the Editorial Board for Pediatric Dentistry and serves as a reviewer for nearly a half dozen scientific and professional journals. He provides both clinical and didactic training to dental students and pediatric dentistry residents. Although born in Connecticut, he has spent the last thirty years living in the south and the southwest.
