Mainly focused in the early detection/diagnosis and management of premalignant conditions of the oral mucosa, and oral cancer.
About Andres Dr. Flores
Dr. Flores received a doctor of dental surgery (DDS) degree from Central University of Venezuela School of Dentistry in 2011. Thereafter, he completed a two-year research fellowship at Case Western Reserve University in the Departments of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. At Case Western, Dr. Flores’ research focused on post-extraction pain management in patients along with temporomandibular joint disc repair using mesenchymal stem cells in an animal model. In 2015, Dr. Flores enrolled in the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. There, he focused in the role of immune-inflammatory responses in precancerous oral mucosal lesions. He was awarded his specialty certificate and master of science degree from UNC-CH in May 2018.
