Bobby White and the NC State Board of Dental Examiners held their board meeting today at the ECU SoDM and offered two continuing education courses to local dentists
The East Central Dental Society and the SoDM hosted Give Kids a Smile for the first time at Ross Hall today. Local dentists, alumni, students, residents and faculty cared for 24 children today, providing a variety of care and lots of smiles.
The 2025 Celebration of Research and Scholarship was held this week, and we had more than 40 poster presentations from our students, faculty and staff. D3 Haley Debnam presents her poster to fellow students and residents.
Dr. Alex Vieira welcomed Dr. Bruce Dye from the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine who shared an informative presentation at the 2025 Celebration of Research and Scholarship about the importance of health literacy within health education and dental public health.
The SoDM experienced another first this week—one of our alumni became the director of a CSLC. Congratulations to Dr. Nicole Beasley ‘16/ AEGD ‘17 as she became the director at CSLC-Ahoskie. Longtime Director Dr. Ford Grant became the Assistant Director to ensure continued mentorship in her new role.Have a great weekend!
